ABMM ready to start production of coal mine in Aceh

JAKARTA - PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABMM), a leading integrated energy related company, has committed to begin coal mine commercial production in Aceh by second half of 2013.

ABMM president director Andi Djajanegara, in a written statement on Thursday said that by the second half of 2013 the company will be ready for commercial production.
 
"Regarding the amount of production, it certainly will be determined and based on the contract that we get from customers, both from overseas such as India, China and domestic," Andi said.
 
Andi added in the execution of infrastructure projects in Aceh coal mine, the company has allocated funds worth 125 million dollars.
 
"Infrastructure development of Aceh mine, located in the district of  Nagan Raya and West Aceh district have been worked by ABMM subsidiary, PT Media Djaya Bersama (MDB) will facilitate the distribution of coal from the mines to the port (pit to port) which is directly routed to the Indian Ocean," Andi said
 
Andi added that the company is currently preparing for the next growth phase. "We will finalize the investment plans in several subsidiaries including the coal mine in Aceh," he said.
 
While related to performance, until the end of September 2012 the company has realized a capital expenditure of 231 million dollars or 92 percent of total capital expenditure allocation in 2012, worth 252 million dollars.
 
Capital expenditure is used for long-term investment that will strengthen ABMM business in the next five years, with the largest portion of the budget has been used to coal mines segment. [skalanews/antara]
